Privacy & data

Last updated November 1st, 2025

We keep privacy simple and transparent. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, how it's used, and how you can manage or remove your data on Devolio.

Core principle

We only collect what's necessary to run Devolio and improve your experience — and we secure that data.

What you share

First & last name, optional profile images you upload, and read-only GitHub data if you connect your account.

Third parties

We integrate with GitHub (read-only) for repository & commit info and use secure cloud storage for uploaded images.

What we collect

We aim to be minimal and purposeful. The personal data we collect and store includes:

1

Name

First and last name (used on your profile and public project pages).

2

Profile images

Images you upload to your profile or projects (stored in encrypted cloud storage).

3

GitHub data (read-only)

If you connect GitHub we request read-only access to import repository metadata, public commits, branches, and profile info to populate your portfolio.

4

Usage & diagnostics

Aggregated analytics (e.g., page views, likes) to improve the product. These are anonymized where possible.

How we use the data

Your data helps power a few simple things:

  • Show your name and avatar on your public profile and project pages.
  • Populate project information automatically from GitHub (with your permission).
  • Enable likes and project discovery features.
  • Send you important account notifications (security or policy related).

This privacy summary is provided for convenience and does not replace any formal privacy policy or terms that may apply.
